Shopify Apps & Themes

Hire a Shopify app developer for custom apps and themes

We do not just build Shopify apps for clients. We build our own: six of our Shopify apps are live in the App Store, including WA Float WhatsApp Button, and two more are in Shopify review. That means we know the review requirements, the Billing API, and the theme app extension system first-hand.

What we build

From theme tweaks to full custom apps

Every Shopify project starts with the same question: does this need an app, a theme customization, or both? We scope it honestly instead of over-building.

  • Custom merchant-facing Shopify apps
  • Theme customization (Online Store 2.0)
  • Checkout & post-purchase flows
  • Admin API & webhook integrations
  • App Store submission & review handling
  • Third-party system integrations
// illustrative example, not a real config
const extension = {
name: 'order-verification',
target: 'purchase.checkout.block.render',
webhooks: [
'orders/create',
'customers/data_request',
'shop/redact',
],
};
Proof, not promises

We build our own Shopify apps too

These are real products we built. Six are live in the App Store, including MatrixInn Age Verification, and two are in Shopify review. See exactly what we ship on the products page.

Our process

From scope to App Store submission

We plan a review buffer from day one, since Shopify's review time is outside our control.

1. Scope

We map exactly what needs to be an app vs. a theme change, which APIs it touches, and what a fixed-bid quote and timeline look like.

2. Build

Development against Shopify's current Admin API and theme app extension system, with GDPR webhooks built in from the start, not bolted on.

3. Submit

We prepare the listing, screenshots, and privacy policy, then submit for Shopify's review and respond to its feedback.

4. Live & supported

After launch we can keep the app up to date with Shopify API changes, as agreed in your quote.

FAQ

Shopify development questions, answered

How much does custom Shopify app development cost?
Cost depends on scope and which Shopify APIs the app touches. After a free scoping call we give a fixed-bid quote, so there are no surprise invoices.
Do you build apps for the Shopify App Store?
Yes. Six of our own apps are live in the Shopify App Store, including WA Float WhatsApp Button, Free Shipping Bar and Size Chart, and two more are in Shopify review, so we know the App Store requirements first-hand, including GDPR webhooks, Billing API usage and theme app extensions. We build to those requirements, but approval is Shopify's decision.
Can you customize an existing Shopify theme, or do I need a custom build?
Both. Most stores just need targeted customization — a faster checkout flow, custom product page layout, or a specific integration — on top of an existing theme (Online Store 2.0). Full custom themes make sense when your brand needs something no template can deliver. We will tell you honestly which one your store actually needs.
What kind of custom Shopify apps do you build?
Order verification and fraud prevention (like our CODsafe, now back under Shopify App Store review), back-in-stock and inventory alerts, WhatsApp/SMS notification tools, custom checkout and post-purchase flows, third-party system integrations (ERPs, CRMs, shipping providers), and admin-side reporting dashboards. If it touches the Shopify Admin API or storefront, we can build it.
How long does a Shopify project take?
We scope the timeline in your fixed-bid quote and ship a working build every week. Shopify review time is outside our control, so we plan a buffer for it.
Do you handle Shopify App Store submission and review?
Yes, end to end — we prepare the listing, screenshots, privacy policy, and GDPR webhook handlers, submit the app, and respond to Shopify review feedback.
