How it works

Start your free trial
Add the app to your store from the Shopify App Store and start the 14-day free trial.
Turn on the app embed
One click opens your theme editor with the pop-up switched on. It works with any theme and there is no theme code to edit. It also shows as a preview in the theme editor.
Set the question and the age
Choose Yes / No or a date of birth, set the minimum age (or an age per country) and write your text.
Choose style and rules
Pick a style or your own colors, add your logo, choose the pages and how long to remember the answer, and save.

Where do I get MatrixInn Age Verification?

It is live in the Shopify App Store. Open the listing, add it to your store and start the 14-day free trial.

Does it work with my theme, and do I need to edit code?

It works with any theme through one app embed that you switch on in the theme editor. There is no theme code to edit, and the pop-up shows as a preview in the theme editor.

Is this a legal age check?

No. It is an age confirmation: the shopper confirms their own age, or enters a date of birth that is checked in their browser. It does not check an ID or any document, so it does not replace what your products or your country may require.

Is there a free trial, and how do I cancel?

Yes, 14 days free. After that it is $0.99 per 30 days, billed through Shopify. You can cancel from the app dashboard or from your Shopify admin, and the pop-up is removed from your store.

What data does the app store?

The app requests no access to your products, orders or customers and sets no cookies. A date of birth is used on the spot in the shopper's browser and is never stored or sent to us. When a shopper confirms, a small note is kept in their browser saying how long the answer is valid. The full privacy policy is linked at the bottom of this page.
