MatrixInn Product Tabs help

How to add shared tabs like Shipping, Returns and FAQ to your Shopify product pages, choose which products show each tab, and fix the common problems. The app is under Shopify review, so these steps apply once it is listed.

Setup

Set it up in 4 steps

    Start the free trial

    Open the app from your Shopify admin and click Start free trial on the Dashboard, then Approve. You get 14 days free, then $1.99 per 30 days.

    Create your tabs

    Go to Tabs > New tab and pick a template, such as Shipping, or Blank tab. Edit the title, icon and content: headings, lists, links, tables and https images. Click Save tab. Create two or three tabs.

    Choose which products show each tab

    Under Show this tab on, keep All products or choose a product tag, product type, vendor, collection or product. Add an exception under Except on, for example the tag final-sale for a Returns tab.

    Add the tabs to your product page

    On the Dashboard, click Add to product page. The theme editor opens with the Product tabs block added. Move it if you like and click Save. Then open a product page to see the tabs.

Settings

What each setting does

Layout

Auto (tabs on computers, accordion on phones), Tabs everywhere, or Accordion everywhere.

Tab style

3 tab styles, icons on or off, and 6 color presets or your own colors.

Product description

Show the product description as the first tab, or split it into tabs at its headings.

Order

Reorder tabs with the arrows on the Tabs page. That is the order shoppers see. You can also copy and delete tabs.

Limits

Up to 50 shared tabs, unlimited views.

Troubleshooting

If something is not working

No tabs show on a product
A product that matches no tab rule shows no tabs. Check each tab's Show this tab on and Except on settings, or add a tab for All products. Also check that the Product tabs block is on your product template, the theme is saved, and your trial or plan is active.
A tab shows where it should not
Add an Except on rule to the tab, for example a product tag such as final-sale, so products with that tag skip it.
Tabs show as an accordion on a computer
With the Auto layout, a narrow column or window shows the accordion. Choose Tabs in Settings to keep tabs on every screen size.
An image in a tab does not show
Only https images are kept. Use an image link that starts with https://, for example from Shopify Files.

Plans, cancelling and your data

How much does it cost?
14 days free, then $1.99 per 30 days, billed by Shopify. One plan with up to 50 shared tabs and unlimited views.
How do I cancel?
Cancel from the app Dashboard or by uninstalling the app. The tabs are removed from your store.
Does it slow down my product pages?
No noticeable load. The tabs are plain HTML in the page, and a small script only switches between tabs and accordion sections.
What data does the app use?
Your tabs and settings are saved in your own store. Nothing is stored on the shopper's device, no cookies are set and nothing is sent to us. The app requests no access to your products, orders or customers.
