MatrixInn Free Shipping Bar help

How to set up the free shipping progress bar on your Shopify store, what each setting does, and how to fix the common problems. The app is under Shopify review, so these steps apply once it is listed.

Setup

Set it up in 4 steps

    Start the free trial

    Open the app from your Shopify admin and click Start free trial on the Dashboard, then Approve. You get 14 days free, then $0.99 per 30 days.

    Turn on the app embed

    On the Dashboard, click Turn on embed. The theme editor opens with Free Shipping Bar switched on. Click Save.

    Set your goal and messages

    Open Bar & Settings. The goal starts at 50 in your store's currency. Change it to your free shipping amount, edit the messages and click Save. Drag Sample cart total in the preview to see the empty, in-progress and goal-reached states.

    Check it on your store

    Open your store. The bar shows at the top. Add a product to the cart: the bar updates without a page reload, the truck moves along, and when the cart passes the goal it shows your reached message with a short confetti animation.

Goal & messages

Your free shipping amount and the text for an empty cart, a cart on its way to the goal, and a cart that reached it.

Design

9 ready-made styles or your own colors, the progress style, the icon, and switches for the truck and confetti animations.

Placement & rules

Top or bottom of the page, a close button, an optional link, which devices and pages show the bar, and start and end dates.

Currencies

A separate goal for each currency your store sells in.

Product page block

Also show the bar on product pages: in the theme editor open the product template, Add block > Apps > Free Shipping Bar.

Troubleshooting

If something is not working

The bar does not show on my store
Check that the app embed is on: Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds > Free Shipping Bar, switched on, then Save. Also check that your trial or plan is active, and that the page and device are allowed in Placement & rules.
The bar does not update when I add to cart
The bar listens for your theme's cart events and re-reads the cart. If your theme uses an unusual cart drawer, reload the page once to confirm the bar shows the right total, then email us your store address so we can check your theme.
Shipping is not free when the bar says it is
The bar only shows a message. It does not change shipping rates. Set the matching free shipping rate in Settings > Shipping and delivery in your Shopify admin.
The goal is wrong in another currency
Set a goal for that currency in the Currencies tab. Otherwise the bar uses your main goal.

Plans, cancelling and your data

How much does it cost?
14 days free, then $0.99 per 30 days, billed by Shopify. One plan with every feature.
How do I cancel?
Cancel from the app Dashboard or by uninstalling the app. The bar is removed from your store.
What data does the app use?
It reads the cart total in the shopper's browser to show progress. It requests no access to your products, orders or customers, and nothing about shoppers is sent to us.
