MatrixInn Floating Buttons for Shopify help

How to add floating contact buttons to your Shopify store, what each setting does, and how to fix the common problems. The app is under Shopify review, so these steps apply once it is listed.

Setup

Set it up in 4 steps

    Start the free trial

    Open the app from your Shopify admin and click Start free trial on the Dashboard, then Approve. You get 14 days free, then $0.99 per 30 days.

    Choose your buttons

    Open Buttons & Settings. Turn on the channels you want, for example WhatsApp and Call, enter your phone number with the country code (like +1 555 010 9999) and click Save. The live preview updates as you type.

    Turn on the app embed

    On the Dashboard, click Turn on embed. The theme editor opens with Floating Buttons switched on. Click Save.

    Check it on your store

    Open your store. The buttons appear in the bottom corner. On a product page, the WhatsApp message includes that product's name and link.

Buttons

WhatsApp, Call, Email, SMS, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram and a custom link, each with its own tooltip and color.

Appearance

Stacked buttons or an expandable menu, bottom-left or bottom-right, and 3 sizes.

Display rules

Show on desktop, mobile or both, on the pages you pick, after a delay.

Scroll to top

An optional button that takes shoppers back to the top of a long page.

Troubleshooting

If something is not working

The buttons do not show on my store
Check that the app embed is on: Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds > Floating Buttons, switched on, then Save. Also check that your trial or plan is active, at least one button is turned on, and the page and device are allowed in Display rules.
The Email button seems to do nothing
Email, Call and SMS open the device's mail, phone or messaging app. On a computer without a mail app set up, nothing may open. Hover the button to check the link.
WhatsApp opens the wrong number
Enter the number with the country code and digits only, for example 14155552671 for the US or 923001234567 for Pakistan, then Save.
The buttons cover my theme's chat or cart button
Switch the corner in Appearance, or use the expandable menu so only one button shows until it is opened.

How much does it cost?
14 days free, then $0.99 per 30 days, billed by Shopify. One plan with every channel and setting.
How do I cancel?
Cancel from the app Dashboard or by uninstalling the app. The buttons are removed from your store.
Is this the same as the WA Float WhatsApp Button app?
No. WA Float is a WhatsApp button with a chat popup and agents. Floating Buttons is a set of contact buttons for eight channels plus scroll to top.
What data does the app use?
None about your shoppers. Tapping a button opens the shopper's own app with a link. The app requests no access to your products, orders or customers.
