Setup guide · App under Shopify review

MatrixInn Estimated Delivery help

How to show an estimated delivery date on your Shopify product pages, what each setting does, and how to fix the common problems. The app is under Shopify review, so these steps apply once it is listed.

Setup

Set it up in 4 steps

  1. 1

    Start the free trial

Open the app from your Shopify admin and click Start free trial on the Dashboard, then Approve. You get 14 days free, then $0.99 per 30 days.

  2. 2

Add the block to your product page

On the Dashboard, click Add to product page. The theme editor opens on your product template with the Delivery date block added and the date already showing. Move it where you want it and click Save. (Or: theme editor > Products > Default product > Add block > Apps > Delivery date.)

  3. 3

    Set your times

Open Settings. Enter your working days, order cut-off time, processing time and shipping time (fastest and slowest). Add holidays, shipping times by country and rules for product tags, then click Save.

  4. 4

Check it on a product page

Open a product on your store. Before the cut-off it shows something like "Order within 4 hrs for estimated delivery between Fri, Oct 9 and Tue, Oct 13". After the cut-off, or on a day off, it shows the next estimate.

Settings

What each setting does

Delivery times

Working days, order cut-off time, processing time and the fastest and slowest shipping time.

Holidays

Days you do not ship. They are skipped when the dates are worked out.

Countries and tags

A different shipping time for each country, and extra days or a hidden estimate for products with a tag.

Message & design

Your wording, styles, colors, icon and layout: Box, Timeline (Ordered, Ships, Delivered) or plain text.

Test a date and time

Try any day, time, country and product tags in the preview before shoppers see it.

Troubleshooting

If something is not working

The delivery date does not show
Check that the Delivery date block is on your product template and that you saved the theme. Also check that your trial or plan is active. The block hides itself for sold-out variants and for products with a tag rule set to hide.
The dates look wrong
Check your cut-off time, working days and holidays in Settings. The dates use your store's time zone from Shopify, and are worked out in the shopper's browser so the countdown is never stale. Use Test a date and time to check a specific case.
It shows the wrong country's times
Add that country under shipping times by country. Otherwise your default shipping time is used.
An empty box shows for a moment
If the script cannot run, the block hides itself after 4 seconds so no empty box is left on the page.
Billing & privacy

Plans, cancelling and your data

How much does it cost?
14 days free, then $0.99 per 30 days, billed by Shopify. One plan with every feature.
How do I cancel?
Cancel from the app Dashboard or by uninstalling the app. The delivery date is removed from your store straight away.
Are the dates a promise to my customers?
No. They are estimates worked out from the times you enter. The app does not change your shipping rates, checkout or orders, so keep your settings in line with how you really ship.
What data does the app use?
Nothing is stored on the shopper's device, no cookies are set and nothing is sent to us. The app requests no access to your products, orders or customers.
